I have a form with fields mapped to an object in salesforce.

The form details appear in the object, but nothing syncs with individual contact record of the person who filled in the form.. do you know what I might be doing wrong?

I have the following mapped between SF and jotform

    First name

    Last name

    email

    How can we help (message)

I just tested again and I get a separate instance appear in the SF object for email, message and names fields ( so 3 separate records are set up within the SF object. One for each field. so each mapped field appears as a separate object record - instead of all on the one object record.)

Do you know what I am doing wrong?

    Hi ady53,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your form and see that you have Salesforce action for each field, which creates multiple records in your object.

Instead of doing that, please create a single action for your fields like so:

You can also use the Update an Existing record option so that Salesforce will automatically update a contact with the new message based on their Standard Contact Matching Rules. We also have a guide on How to Integrate Jotform with Salesforce that you can check out.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

    thank you very much.

The outcome I am looking for, is that a client will fill in a message on the form, and I have the form mapped to fields in an object in salesforce .

The message is coming into the object fine now - thank you for those instruction.

I must still be doing something wrong, as though i can see the message in the object, and the object is part of related lists on the contact record, the message doesn't show in the related list.

I am hoping to have it so that each message from a client will show as a separate record in the related list on relevant contact record. So that messages aren't overwritten. If I map the message field on the form to an ordinary text field on contact records, I'm guessing that each new message would overwrite the previous one?

(Note: If I click on the 'update existing record' checkbox, when I am mapping fields, the message field doesn't show as available to map

    Hello Ady53.

I'm afraid I didn't quite understand your request. Can you explain a bit more about it, so I can get a better idea of what you're trying to achieve? It would help us to understand if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
