    Using Conditional Logic:

What are the best practices for using conditional logic in Jotform to show/hide fields based on user input? I need to show or hide fields based on user responses. Can you provide instructions on setting up conditional logic and any tips to ensure it works smoothly?

    Hi Florence,

Setting up a show/hide condition is easy. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on the Settings tab.

    2. Select Conditions from the left side menu.

    3. Click on Show/Hide a Field.

    4. Next, set up your condition and click on Save.

As you can see on my screencast above, I set up a condition, where the short-text field should only show when the answer to the question is equal to 'Yes'. Now, after setting up that way, the target field becomes initially hidden, so there's no need to create another condition to hide it, if the field is empty or equal to No. That will just create conflicts, as you create more conditions involving the same field, with different scenario.
