Which Email is being used with Authorize.net?

    Hello, when a credit card is processed via Authorize.net, which of the customer's email addresses is passed from Jotform to Authorize.net? We have multiple customers whose *distributor email address* is being passed to Authorize.net, rather than the customer's primary email address. Thank you for assistance.

    Hi Impactsonoma,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The email address that's populating in Authorize.net is their own account that they have registered with Authorize.net. It's most likely that the email address that they have registered to Authorize.net is different from their primary email address and not their distributor email. Unfortunately, We cannot customize the payment area when they process a payment, and it will always use what they have registered with Authorize.net.

    Hello Sim,

    I am unclear what you mean by "registered with Authorize.net". Customers are not required to have an Authorize.net account in order to purchase items, are they? I just need to know which email is passed from Jotform to Authorize.net, as we give customers options to provide more than one email address when they purchase a license via our Jotform. And then, is there a way in Jotform to specify which email address is sent to Authorize.net?

    Hi impactsonoma,

    You can add an Email field to your form and set it as required. After that, you can update the Authorized.net settings and enable the Ask Billing Information to Customer option. You can choose which data you want to collect and make sure that it is mapped to the form fields correctly.

    1. In the Form Builder, select the payment field and click the Wand icon.
    2. Click the Additional Gateway Settings.
    3. Enable the Ask Billing Information to Customer option.
    4. Select the Email field in the Customer Email field option and Save the payment settings.
