If I remove a form field in the PDF Editor, will it be removed from the Form Builder?

No, removing a form field in the PDF Editor does not affect the corresponding form field in the Form Builder. It simply eliminates it from the PDF, which can be useful if you don't want to include it in your submission PDF. Check out my screencast below to see an example:
