Option to select between signing and typing signatures on the form

As far as I know I have added the Jotform sign widget into this document but there doesn't appear to be an option to select between signing and typing

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Having a Jotform Sign in your form is not a widget, but rather a feature that you can enable. I see on your form link that Jotform Sign Automation is already enabled. Let me show you where to find that option:

• In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
• In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Jotform Sign.
• Then that's where you will find if your Jotform Sign Automation is currently enabled/disabled.

An alternative way of going to this section is by clicking the Green Pen Icon when you hover over your Signature field.

sorry if I wasn't clear - I am looking for the option to elect to either type or to sign. I can't see where the option to type is available, only signing appears to be available

The feature you are looking for is only available to signature fields on Sign Documents as you see in the screenshot below:

Rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated this as a feature request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
