Form Submission: Some data entries are duplicated

    We are getting a duplicate Jotform # on some of the entries.

    Hi Abby,

    Based on the screenshot you've provided on the original thread, I don't seem to find any duplicated entries in it. What I mean is, a submission was duplicated, so 2 submissions have now the same exact information for all involved fields. Can you explain a bit more about the issue, so I can get a better idea of what's happening? What were the exact information in the submissions that you said were duplicated? It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a more detailed screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.

    Hi Abby,

    I visited the original thread as your response for this thread was added there. To make sure we can make proper follow-ups regarding your responses, please make sure to send your reply for the 2nd question about duplicates here.

    Things are much clearer now. I checked the form and saw that you've used the Unique ID widget for the Receipt Number field/column. If there were recent changes made to the widget while submissions for the form are ongoing, that can affect the sequential values (i.e., the Receipt Number) of the Unique ID. That's why it reverted to 13078 until 13083. At its current state, the number is now at 13093 (assuming you're not receiving submissions at the moment), and it should run sequentially after. If you need to update it again, you may need to disable the form first so no one can use it and the Receipt Number won't be affected. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, select Settings from the orange navigation bar.
    2. In the Form Settings section, go to Form Status and click on it to disable the form.

    4. Follow the steps above if you're ready to enable the form again.
