How to create a form that allows file upload?

    Hello,

I am looking to see if this product will allow me to create a form that I can share with anyone and also have the capability to request optional file uploads to the form without any special accounts or logins (other products like Google Forms or Microsoft Forms appear to require you to sign in with their type of email account in order to upload files).

If this is doable without many extra hoops, this would be very beneficial to us :)

    Thank you!

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, if you need to collect files on your forms, you can use the File Upload form element. File Upload can accept multiple files from your form fillers. There are also options to set your allowed file types and sizes. Also, if you set the form's access settings to public form, form respondents will be able to access it without having to log into Jotform. Let me show you how :

    1. In Form Builder, select Add Form Element in the upper-left corner. How to create a form that allows file upload? Image 1 Screenshot 50
    2. Select File Upload in Form Elements. How to create a form that allows file upload? Image 2 Screenshot 61
    3. Click the Gear icon on the right to open properties.

    4. In the properties panel on the right, go to Options at the top.
    5. Set your desired file size limit and allowed file types.

Please note that files uploaded through File Upload take up upload space. We also have a guide about How to Change the Allowed File Types that you can check out.

Let us know if you need any more help.
