HIPAA Upgrade

    Good Morning,


    I am unable to use two of my forms due to a HIPAA Upgrade requirement. I have a HIPAA release form that I use outside of Jotform. How can I get this requirement removed from my account so that I am able to access my forms?

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You are likely being prompted to upgrade to HIPAA compliance because our system detects that you're handling Personal Health Information (PHI). US laws require anyone dealing with healthcare data to be HIPAA compliant.

    To continue using the forms, we highly recommend upgrading to HIPAA for additional security.

    Understood, as stated, my business uses a HIPAA form outside of Jotform. Does that not suffice?

    Hi Alyse,

    Thanks for getting back to us. I’m not entirely clear on what you mean by using it outside of JotForm. However, as mentioned, if you are collecting Personal Health Information (PHI) with a specific element, you will need to upgrade your account to the Gold Plan and enable HIPAA Compliance.

    With the upgrade, am I able to make monthly payments and get the discounted rates?
