    HI,

I want to replace data in an existing Jotforms table, but I want to replace it with an import excel file.

Is that possible and how do I do it?

    Hi BVSA,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you've had submissions of the same form. Then you can delete your previous submissions and import your submissions. I suggest that you to download your submissions. You can check out the guide How to Download Form Submissions as Excel/CSV/PDF? Then use that downloaded CSV excel file and import them to the other form by using Import App. Please check this guide Import App: Easily Import Your Excel or CSV Data into Jotform. Imported entries via the Import App count as real submissions.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Thanks, but here is my problem.
I want to prefill forms from a table. The data will change every month, so I will need to upload the new data every month.
If I change to a new table, the prefill settings that I've set up, will not work anymore. I need to replace the existing table, with the new data.

    Hello BVSA,

Can you please share the form you are working on so we can check? If you are uploading new entries with the same set of fields, you can apply the existing prefill you created to the new entries. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

I'm working on the table, MDA Data.
I want to add more rows, but want to import the data to add rows, and not do in manually.

    Hi  BVSA,

If I understood you correctly, you want the table prefill to automatically update each time new data is imported into the table. If this is the case, unfortunately it is not possible. Each time you import a new submissions, you must create a prefilled link. However, as a workaround, a Speadsheet to Form Widget can be used. Let me show you how:

First, create a spreadsheet containing the data as shown below. The column names in the spreadsheet and the field names in the form must be the same.

    1.  In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element + menu on the left side of the page.
    2.  Under the Widgets tab, search for the Spreadsheet to Form widget and add it to your form.
    3. In the Widget Settings that open, upload the Excel file.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better? If so, please provide the URL of the form. Is your MDA Data form this form? You have a form with the same name and neither of the fields have been set up yet. Let me show you how to find the form URL:

    1.  In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Publish.
    2.  Click on Quick Share on the left side of the screen.
    3. Please copy the URL there.
