grillmayaAsked on June 26, 2024 at 12:56 PM
I have a list of 20 questions (open text / number)
to each question will have a follow up question, with the same title
I.E question 1 is : Did you work on project x? question 2: How many hours did you work on it? I.E question 3 is : Did you work on project y? question 4: How many hours did you work on it?
they're not all mentatory, and not all will show up to every responder (conditions)
How do I identify the same title questions (How many hours did you work on it?) on the submission side for me to review, export data, connect to air table etc

Hi Maya,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you are referring to integrating your form with Airtable, let me show you how to do it:
- In Form Builder, click on Settings from the top bar menu, and click on Integrations from the left panel menu.
- Then, search for Airtable, and click on the Airtable icon.
- Next, click on the Authenticate button and log in to your account.
- Then, add an action, fill in the information needed, match the fields of your Airtable fields with Jotform, and click on Save.
If you are also going to export your form submission directly from your Submission Table, let me show you how to do it:
- On your My Tables page, next to the form with the submissions you want to see, click on View Table.
- Hover your mouse over the Download All button on the right side of the page.
- Now, choose CSV, Excel, or PDF format and download your data.
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better?
Once we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

Hey, thank you but this is not what I was asking. I'm asking about how to identify each question when they have the same name

Hi Maya,
I'm afraid you will either have to add a distinction in each of the questions to be able to map them correctly to the corresponding form fields, or refer to the sequence of the questions.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

what do you mean by refer to the sequence of the question?

Hello Maya,
When you set up an integration, the fields are automatically ordered based on their sequence in your form builder.
As mentioned by my colleague, you may need to add a distinction to each of the questions to map them correctly to the corresponding form fields or refer to the sequence of the questions.
Let us know if you need any other help.

Right, so distinction has to be something that the users sees on the front of the form ?

Hi Maya,
The fields on your mapping screen is based on their order in your Form Builder. When in doubt, you can temporarily add a distinction to them and remove them after mapping the fields. For example, if you add a suffix 1, 2, 3, and so on to each field with the same name, you'll be able to map them easily.
Once mapped, simply remove these numbers from the fields, and the integration will still connect as previously mapped.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi Maya,
I took a look at your Tables and saw the other columns are hidden. Recovering hidden columns in Jotform Tables is easy. Let me show you how:
- In Jotform Tables, hover your mouse over the Columns tab on the top-right side of the screen, and click on it.
- In the menu that opens up, find the name of the column that's been hidden in the dropdown menu, and put a check in the box next to it.
- Now, you’ll be able to see the hidden column in the Table.
Additionally, the order of the questions my teammates are referring to is the order of the form fields on your form. You should be able to see these fields in the same order when mapping fields in the integrations. Take a look at the screenshot below:
In Form Builder:
Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
