    Hello

How do I upload a Private Key for encrypted forms? I cannot see any explanation anywhere?  I have a newly encrypted form on my website and I have received an email to tell me there is a submission to view. when I click view response,  I get a screen telling me to upload a private Key-But I am not sure what I am supposed to do? When I click browse, it just browses my pc? Am I supposed to pick some image or document as my personal key? And do I need to pick the same document/ image each time?

    Thank you

When enabling form encryption there is an option to create an encryption key. Once you select it a private key will be downloaded and saved on your computer. You need to upload it to decrypt your Email Notification and Submissions page.

Please check if your key is in downloads folder on your computer.

Where Can I Find the Private Key After Downloading It?

If you did not download the key or if you lost it, your data is also lost.

    Hello,
I have checked my downloads and I don’t have anything. If I am honest I don’t recall enabling the encrypted key thing. I have recently received feed back on this form without a problem. But it was just after I edited the form yesterday and changed the format to a card type form. Is there a way I can disable the encryption key?
    Thank you
    Regards

Your form is currently not encrypted, so I assume that you found a way to turn of the Form Encryption. I also saw that you deleted the only submission you received with that form.

Maybe you accidentally set Encrypt Form Data to YES, while you were changing the form layout on the Settings Page.

Considering your form is no longer encrypted, you will be able to view submitted data without any issues.

Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
