    Hi Support,

Is there some way to add an include to our SPF record and just send the mail unauthenticated?

    Thanks

    Brenton

    Hi Brenton,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your account and can see here that you did not set up an SMTP sender email which means this should not affect your Jotform accounts and forms. You can continue using your forms without any issues. You may also reach out to Microsoft Office 365 for more details with regard to this decommissioning and what are the possible workarounds they have prepared once this change takes into effect.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Silvano,

We would prefer not to re-enable basic auth in our Office 365 tenant. What other options do Jotform offer, other than the inherently insecure SMTP authentication. Can we use OAuth or perhaps include your SPF in our record and send unauthenticated?

What are you planning to do once MS turns of basic auth, including any workarounds, come Sept 2025?

    Hi Brenton,

I will escalate this to our Developers to see what method to use when setting SMTP using Microsoft Office 365 emails once Microsoft implements the changes on September 25. For now, you can set SMTP using your Office 365 email with the current authentication method we have which you can check on this guide.

If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
