Hi
Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked the mentioned condition, and it is no longer in your list of conditions. You have to make sure that the conditions should be correctly labelled as Text or String, Number function. We also have a guide about How to Insert Text or Calculation Into a Field Conditionally that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Hi, thanks I had actually changed the field thinking that maybe the [] were causing the issue, but it still will not save:

Hi McGregorSacha,
I need just a bit of time to look into this and work out a solution. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi McGregorSacha,
I've cloned the form and I am not sure where to look the issue.
Do you want to pass the data to the Answer for 1.4 field? If not, please share more details on what you want to achieve. I've tried using the Form Calculation widget and I didn't encounter the issue.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I just removed the first field (numbering for C1.4) and this managed to save.. so for some reason it does not like the first field - and I tried again to add it in, but it still won't allow that first field..

Hi McGregorSacha,
Thanks for getting back to us. I've cloned your form and was able to reproduce it, it seems when the field (numbering for C1.4) is added it can't be saved. However, you can change the field from a number to a string, and you should be able to save it.
To change the field from a number to a string, you'll need to click it while on the condition. it will then change (0-9) to (A-Z) indicating that it's a string.
This would allow you to save the form condition and keep the value on the condition.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Excellent, this worked. Thanks very much.
It would be helpful if the error code was highlighted or in some way show what the error is instead of just saying it needs fixing.
Thanks !

Hi McGregorSacha,
Glad to know that it worked. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Reach out again if you need any other help.
