How to save my data when switching back to Starter plan?

    Dear Customer Service,

We currently have a yearly subscription for Jotform and the licence expires in July 2024. As we do not plan to use your system within the next one year, my question is if we have access to our database even without subscription as well. Next year we plan to renew our subscription, but we do not want to subscribe for one year without even using the platform for creating new forms.

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Peter Hernadi

    Hello Peter,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you decide to cancel your subscription now, you won't lose your forms and submissions, but the Starter Plan limits will apply to your account.

Your account can only have 5 active forms and the remainder will be disabled. As for the submission data, the Starter Plan can only store 500 total submissions. If you have more than 500 submissions, the old submissions will only be restored if you upgrade your account back to one of the paid plans. But while checking your Jotform account, I noticed that you already have 23 active forms and a total submission storage of 1137. Only 5 forms out of 23 must be active, and only 500 of the 1137 Total Submission Storage will stay active. Please check our Pricing page to see the plan limits of the Starter plan.

Also, there is a Storage plan option that will be shown automatically on the pricing page. This plan is the same as the Starter plan regarding limits, the only difference is that you will have an unlimited total submission. If upgrading your plan is no longer an option, then you can check on these guides to back up your form submissions.

Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hello Mary,

Thank you for your answer. Just to be sure I understood correctly. If I don't renew my subscription for one year for exemple, will I be able to check my previous forms (what was the result, what were the questions etc)? Because in the meantime I don't want to create any new form, I only want to have access to my previous forms. As soon as I need a new form I will have to have a new subscription because I have more than 1300 conacts...

    Did I understand you correctly?

    Kind regards,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

When your subscription ends, you will be downgraded to the Starter plan. With the Starter Plan, you can see only 500 submissions, regardless of how many submissions you have received. To view that submission or to create a new form, you need to have a paid subscription. Apart from that, you can not access the old submissions in Jotform Tables. However, if you enabled your notification email, you can check out the previous submission in your email. Also, you can see a Storage plan option in your account, as my colleague Mary explained previously.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Dear Arghya,

Thank you for your answer. Okay, I understand that I can't handle submissions but do I get back them and all data as soon as I renew my subscription? Or once I am downgraded it's better to download everything and I have to restart it from 0 once I have the new subscription?

    Hi Peter,

When you downgrade your account to the Starter Plan, your total storage limit will be 500. Once you reach this limit, the old submission data will be deleted, so new ones can be received, so we strongly recommend exporting all of your submissions.
