Fillable PDF Form: How to remove the yellow banner at the top of the screen when opening a PDF form?

    Hi there,

I have created a pdf fillable document and have downloaded it, however, I want clients to save the file to their computer after they have edited it and send it back to me by email, instead of through a submit button or using adobe. Is there a way I can download my document to not have the warning at the top of the page saying 'in order to submit this form, you should open it with Adobe'?

    Thank you, Emma

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Your users can download the fillable PDF as a PDF file on their computer; however, when filling it out, they can only do so using Adobe PDF Reader or other similar applications. The yellow banner you're seeing is generated by your browser's PDF viewer, particularly noticeable on Mozilla Firefox. However, it's not a part of the actual fillable PDF form itself. A fillable PDF form contains genuine form fields, but only certain PDF editors fully support this format. If you open the form in Adobe Acrobat, a PDF editor that fully supports fillable forms, you won't encounter this banner.
