Email Notification: Entry Form Submission Did Not Receive an Autoresponder Email

    Submission #5947200693806844636 (our Form #OL-100 in our Data Table for our 2024 Asheville Quilt Show Entry Form) did not receive an Autoresponder email. All prior entries for this form have properly received the Autoresponder email. I have attached a screenshot of the history log showing the outgoing emails for our account. The last autoresponder email sent out for Form OL-99 went out (to the same person Cindy Gaa) today at 15:02. The email containing the copy of the entry information that comes to me (charlotte.mcranie2) asking for my approval of that OL-100 entry came to me at 15:14 but there is no record of an email to Cindy.

    If you look back at the log, you will see the pattern of entries is generally two simultaneous transmissions -- one to both quiltshowentries and the entry submitter and then a copy to me (charlotte.mcranie2) as the approver. But for OL-100 there is only the email transmission to me.

    Can you research this and tell us what happened? We have provided our approval copy of the submission to the entrant but would like to know why an email wasn't sent. Thank you!

    Hi Quiltshowentries,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I have checked the account and it seems like the autoresponder notification on your form is currently tied to a condition that does the same thing as the regular autoresponder notification you currently have. It would be recommended to remove the conditional logic tied to the autoresponder and add another notification email instead which has the same email format as the autoresponder notification you have if you intend on receiving a copy of the autoresponder. That way the autoresponder won't have issues with following both the autoresponder and conditional logic commands upon submission.

    Up to now with 99 entries we have had no problems with the conditional logic. I actually did that because that was the recommended approach iI found somewhere either in your documentation or in the support tickets to sending a copy of the Autoresponder email to a second recipient. I don't understand why all of a sudden on the 100th form submission it would be an issue -- can you explain that?? I really don't want to have to spend the time to have to set up a copy -- I'm busy with lots of other projects right now.

    Hi Quiltshowentries,

    I also couldn't find any history of an Autoresponder Email being sent to Cindy for her second submission (OL-100). But I was unable to replicate the issue when I cloned your form. As seen in the screenshot below, the Autoresponder Email was sent to both email addresses:

    This could be a one-off issue. Can you make a test submission and see whether the email entered into the Email field will receive an Autoresponder Email? As for Cindy's submission, let me walk you through how to resend the Autoresponder from the Submission Table through the Send Email Action Button:

    1. Click the Add button beside the last column header.
    2. Select Send Email from the Buttons tab.

    5. Select/check the existing Autoresponder Email.

    Click on the Send Email button on the entry in question to resend the autoresponder, as seen below:
