Hello,
I’ve created a form and assigned a user. They have no problem accessing and filling it out, but when they go to download their submissions they are only give the option to download a print version in PDF. I need them to be able to download in excel. Is this possible or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, this is not possible to download the submissions via Excel by your form responders. They can only download their submissions via PDF once you enable the Attach PDF in the Autoresponder Email.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Would I need to add them as a user to enable that? Currently I assigned a form to them, but I need them to have the ability to download submissions as excel.

Hi Mike,
Yes, we have an option to share the submission data and download it as an Excel. Let me show you how:
- Log in to your account, go to All Forms then select the name of the form and click on Submissions.
- On the submission table, select a submission data you would like to share.
- Then click Share at the upper right of the page.
- Under Share Table, click on Share Settings.
- Review the Share Settings and set it up for your reference.
- Under Apply Limitations, check the box for Show Download Button.
- Once you've set the share settings, you can copy the link to share the table or you can send it through email.
- The person who you shared the table will receive an email. Take a look at the screenshot below:
Once the receiver clicks the View Table, it will direct them to the login or sign-up page. They need to log in or create an account to view the table. Please note that by sharing your table they will be able to see all the submissions data.
- To download the data as Excel, select a data submission to download.
- Click the Download button at the upper right of the page.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
