Hi team-- I have a form that acts like a calculator
I take a couple inputs and then do some math with the form calculation.
I want to display the results of the calculation but I do not want it on the thank you page, I want to reference the result earlier in the form to give the customers choices on what to do next.
What is the best widget to display the information?

Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can use a basic element like the Number field to show the results made from your Form Calculation widgets. You can show the result using the said field within the form so that form users can view it before completing a submission by setting up Conditional Logic to it. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element on the left.
- Under the Basic tab, look for Number and add it into your form.
- Next, click the field's Gear icon.
- Go to the Advance tab and enable Read Only. This is to make sure that no one can type in it.
After adding the field, you can start setting up the condition. Here's how:
- Select Settings from the orange navigation bar in Form Builder.
- Go to Conditions and click on Add Condition.
- From the list, select Update/Calculate Field.
- Start adding the condition as shown below and click on Save once done.
Here's how it should look like:
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better?
Give it a try, and after we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
