Account Update: Transfer account ownership to another person

    Hello,


    My name is Nia Harris and I have a Bronze account for my organization. I will be transitioning from my position at the end of the month and will need to transfer ownership to my director. How can I do this without deleting our account? Our organization's card is already linked here so I would like to just do a simple switch if possible. Please let me know how to proceed.

    Hi Nia,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. If you want to transfer ownership of the account and update your information, I'm here to help every step of the way. To change your Jotform account's username, just give us three different usernames you'd like to use, and we'll update it based on availability. Keep in mind that custom URLs won't work anymore after the username change, so if you're using them now, you'll need to recreate them.

    Moreover, if you need to change the email address associated with the account, here's how you can do it:

    1. Hover your mouse over the Avatar/Profile icon in the upper-right corner of your account page. 
    2. When you click on your Name, you'll be redirected to the Account Settings page. 
    3. At the bottom of the page, click the Edit button next to your registered email address.

    • On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your Avatar/Profile image on the top-right side of the page.
    • In the menu that comes up, click on Settings.

    • Next, go to the Billing tab.
    • Click on Change Credit Card.

    • Enter the details in the Credit Card Information window.
    • Now, just click on Update to save the changes.

    Thank you Christian!
    Unfortunately, switching the email didn't work. After I sent the
    verification, it says that my director, Mirabai, already has an account.
    Her email is "mirabai@blackfutures.farm". We could create a whole new
    account but I did not want to lose all the waivers that we have on my
    account. Can you help me with that?

    Hi Nia,

    Upon reviewing the email address you provided, I noticed that it is associated with an account that has been deleted. Deleted accounts are retained in our system for 30 days before permanent deletion, and the associated email address becomes available for reuse. This is to accommodate cases where users may wish to reactivate their deleted accounts.

    I went ahead and expedited the deletion so you may update this account's email address to mirabai@blackfutures.farm. I would also recommend using a different browser or incognito mode to avoid any potential browser cache/cookie issues while updating your email address. Let me show you how to change your account email address:

    1. In My Forms page, click on your Avatar at the top right.

    3. Then click on Account.
    4. Your registered email address is at the bottom of the Profile Page. Click Edit on the right side of the Profile option.

    If the Require verification to change email option is enabled in your Security Settings, you will receive an email message to verify the email address change request.

    Finally, you will get an email message to verify the new email address of the account.
