Send and Upload Files with Salesforce Integration

    Hi Jotform!

I've seen several help articles that say there isn't a way to send uploaded files or signature files to Salesforce. Can you confirm this is still the case? What about with the new SF Jotform App?

If so, is there a way to do this with a third-party tool like Zapier or Make? Are the files themselves available somehow via API?

    Thanks!

    Hi ElderHelpofSanDiego,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, the uploaded files cannot be sent directly to Salesforce. Instead, you can send the link to the file, which is securely stored in your Submissions table. To associate the uploaded files with the Salesforce object, you can include a URL field in Salesforce and match it with the File Upload field on the form.

Feel free to check out this guide on How to Integrate Jotform with Salesforce and How to Create File Upload Forms.

Reach out again if there’s anything else we can do for you.

Right. Can you tell me if the file itself is available via the API through a third-party logic tool like Zapier or Make?

    Hi ElderHelp,

Yes, the files uploaded through Jotform are accessible via Jotform’s API. While you cannot send the files directly to Salesforce through the Jotform integration, you can use third-party automation tools like Zapier or Make to create a workflow that retrieves the file from Jotform’s servers using the API and then uploads it to Salesforce. Let me show you how to set that up:

    1. In the Form Builder, navigate to the Settings tab.
    2. On the left side, select Integrations.
    3. Scroll down to the bottom. Send and Upload Files with Salesforce Integration Image 1 Screenshot 40
    4. Click on the app to view the available templates. Send and Upload Files with Salesforce Integration Image 2 Screenshot 51
    5. Next, click the Use this Zap option to configure the Zap Template. You'll need to go through a few steps to finish the integration.Send and Upload Files with Salesforce Integration Image 3 Screenshot 62
