Hi Julie,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, limits are in place for each of the account plans. Currently, you are using a Starter plan which has these limits:
- Form Submissions: 100
- Payment Forms: 10
- Sign Documents: 10
- Upload Space Limit: 100MB
- Form Views: 1000
- Total Submission Storage: 500
When I checked our system, I saw that you have reached your Sign Document limit. This refers to the Sign Document that you receive or a Signature field on your form with Jotform Sign Automation enabled. Keep in mind that if any of the limits are reached, your forms will be disabled.
Let me show you how you can disable Jotform Sign Automation, so you can collect 100 submissions instead of 10 Sign Documents.
- In Form Builder, add a Signature element.
- Then, click on Settings from the top bar menu.
- Next, click on Jotform Sign from the left panel menu.
- Lastly, toggle OFF the Enable Jotform Sign Automation. That's it.
You can also check our Pricing Page to see the comparison of each of the subscription plans that we have. To understand what each of the usage limits means, you can check out the guide about Understanding Your Account Usage and Limits.
Reach out again if you need any other help.

Hi Julie,
If you would want to receive signatures from 80 people, then you can either turn off Jotform Sign or get a subscription, but you can still get signatures if you turn off Jotform Sign. It just won't have the features that Jotform Sign comes with. But if you only want the signatures, just turn it off. Otherwise, you would have to subscribe to at least a Bronze Plan since this will allow you to receive 100 Monthly Signed Documents.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

so I am not clear- I can turn it off and still collect signatures? Is there to share with someone that needs these signatures , that I have had the client sign the page- I need to prove it to someone. so How do I prove it??
in other words I am asking my clients to sign something that gives me permission to use their pictures in an exhibit. I justly have to have those signatures for the gallery. is there away to see the signatures or download them?? I don't know what it means to "not have the features jotform sign comes with" as you state.

Hi Julie,
Our Signature Element is now powered by Jotform Sign. It means that by adding a signature field and enabling Sign Automation, you can now receive a PDF document of the submission with an audit trail. A signed document is a signature with enabled sign Automation.
If you want to receive the maximum number of submissions in your current plan, I would suggest disabling this feature to get the maximum submission limit of 100 submissions. Let me show you how to disable it:
- In Form Builder, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
- Click on Jotform Sign on the left side of the screen.
- You can Turn off and turn on to Enable Jotform Sign Automation.
You have the option to upgrade your plan and increase your monthly.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
