Replicating a bridge (card game) bidding box on a Jotform

    Hello,

I am trying to create a jotform in which the question has the following elementsÇ

    1. A diagram with cards and suit symbols
    2. A table with possible choices
    3. A field for the respondents to insert their answers (or, preferrably, a responsive image on item 2, in which respondents could just click and so select their choice).

I'll add a screenshot of a similar feature in a popular bridge website to make it clearer.

    Hi Paulo,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, what you're trying to accomplish is not possible. You can use an image element, and upload a fix display of the card diagram in your screenshot. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element button.

    2. Next, look for the image element and add it to the form.

    3. Lastly, upload the card diagram photo.

As for the table with selections, could you tell us more about the mechanics on how exactly should it work?. Do users simply need to select any possible choices? We don't have any table element that allows uploading an icon of the shapes of the cards, but we do have widgets that support image selection, like the Image checkboxes widget.

Let us know if there's anything else you would like to ask.

Thanks for the quick reply Lorenz,

Your explanation about the fixed image on the form was excellent.

As for the Table with selections, the idea is:

    1. Respondent clicks on one of the options in the table
    2. His selection is registered as an answer to the question on the form
    3. The answer is then exported to a spreadsheet under his name/email (once he finishes the entire form, there would be 6-8 questions on each form).

The alternative would be a single text field in which people could write their responses (like, 4S for "Four Spades"), and I will go with that if the table is too complicated to implement, but a table would be neater.

    Hi Paulo,

Things are much clearer now. Unfortunately, Jotform tables don't allow you to choose only 1 entry from the whole table, but it allows choosing one option minimum from each row. If you want to add an Input Table into your Jotform, let me show you how to add:

    1. In Form builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
    2. Under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and choose the Input Table.
    3. Now, just drag and drop it to your form.

We also have a guide about How to Set Different Input Types in an Input Table that you can check out. We also have a guide to help you learn How to Set Up the Multiple Choices or Single Choice With Limited Quantity?

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
