Manual Prefill: How to hide the prefilled form field?

    Hi Team,

Is it possible to hide a question on a prefilled form, but not a live form?

Many of our forms are shared by QR code and done on the day, we don't want any changes to appear on this form.

We now have a use case where we want to send this form out ahead. We've already captured the email of the person, so do not want them to have the option to enter it again. On the manually prefilled forms, is it possible to hide a field that is 'shown' on the live form?

    Hi Steph,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We can't hide the prefilled field but we can set it to Read Only so they won't have the option to change the value. Here's how to do it:

    • In Form Builder, click on Publish in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen.
    • On the left panel, click on Prefill and select Manual Prefill.
    • Click on +Add a New Prefill.
    • Enter the prefilled values and click on Create on the upper right of the screen.
    • On the right side of the manual prefill entry, select Ready Only. And that's it.

When a form filler opens the form, they won't be able to edit the prefilled values.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
