Preview previously lodged form

    Is there any way that the exisiting customers can see their forms which has been previously lodged before.

    For example, I have series of almost idential form 2023 application, 2024 application and 2025 application every year with same client group.

    So if a client has completed the 2023 one and I want that client to refer the 2023 application when they prepare 2024 application. If I want to make a buttom or link for the client to easily access to the form that they have submiited before.

    I found the below way to reduce the job for the client but some field I used conditions and widget so many of them are not avaialbe for prefill. so please suggest different way.

    Hi Calvin_PARK,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it's not possible for your clients to see the previous data. As a workaround for that, you can download the data from the table in Excel format and use the Spreadsheet to Form widget to fill up the existing data. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Dropdown icon beside the Jotform logo.
    2. Click on Tables, and click on Download All.
    3. Now, select Download as Excel to download all the data in Excel format.

    After that, you can add the Spreadsheet to Form widget in your form. It's easy to do. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Firstly, you need to modify the downloaded Excel file containing user data, that your clients previously filled. I set the email field in the beginning.

    2. In Form Builder, go to Widget tab and add Spreadsheet to Form widget in your form.

    3. Click on Wand icon to open widget settings.

    4. Then, click on Upload File under the Spreadsheet, and upload the Excel file you have created.

    5. Click on Access Code column and set your access code as Email. By this, whenever your client enters their email address, the form automatically fills up based on their email. And their email works as an access code.

    6. Now, click on Update widget to save the settings.

    7. Go to Settings tab in the orange navigation bar at the top.

    8. Then go to Conditions in the menu on the left and click on + Add Condition.

    9. Select Update/Calculate field condition and set up your condition.

    However, keep in mind that the widget only works when fields match. Also, if the entered value didn't match with the Excel file, then the form doesn't auto-populate. You can add a note under your email section like all letters should be in Lower/Upper case to avoid confusion.
