Hello, I am looking to set up notifications to approvers when forms are submitted. I am also looking to set up notifications so that submitters can receive emails when their form has been both submitted and approved.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I would suggest that you create an Approval Flow through your form so that the email will be sent to the Approver after submission and the notification will be received by the form responders once approved. Let me walk you through it:
- In the Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Select Approval Flows in the left corner.
- Click on Create Approval Flow.
- Here's the basic Approval Flow setup.
You might also want to check out this guide about How to Create an Approval Flow With Jotform Approvals.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your help. In the email address field (after the approve/deny workflow step), is there a way to indicate the notification email should be sent to whichever email address has been provided by the requester? For example, there is no standard email for this field, as it will vary depending on the email address of the varied requesters.

Hi Michelle,
If you want to send the Notification Email depending on the email address that the requester has provided you can add the Email Field in the Email Address Field in the Approval Flow. Let me show you how:
- In the Approval Flow, click the Gear icon of the Email Address Field.
- Hover over your mouse to the Approval Properties and under the General tab click the dropdown arrow of the Form Fields button.
- Select the Email Field.
Check out the screenshot of the result below:
The form owner still received the Notification Email with the Action Required and the Email address that was added by the requester also received an Email after the submission. Take a look at the screenshot below:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
