Why upgrade is required ?

Why is jotform asking me to upgrade and my friend isn't paying hers and can continue to receive forms? My clients can't complete the form anymore

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I reviewed your account's stats and found that you have reached the limit for receiving Sign Documents per month. Under the Starter plan, you can only receive 10 per month for submissions at this time.

To fix this, you can disable Jotform Sign in your web form. Here are the steps how:

1. Edit your form, find the signature field and click the Sign Automation button
   
2. Switch the Sign automation off
   
3. Next, proceed in clearing your form's cache by following the steps from this guide.

After this, you should be able to use your forms again, but without Jotform Sign. You are still able to use the signature field but this means only that there is no audit trail to secure legal compliance with e-signatures that you use in your form.

About the limits in your account, there are various kinds of submission limits that users should understand. When any of them is reached, it will suspend your account's limits. Here are the types of submission limits:

1. Regular submission limits
2. File upload limits
3. Jotform Sign Documents limits
4. Payment submission limits

For numbers 1, 3, and 4, the limits for these restart monthly. However, for file upload limits, once this is reached, your only option is to delete and purge the submissions with files attached to them or upgrade your account.

In your case, the limit reached is for the Sign documents, which allows only 10 per month under the Starter plan. This is why your form cannot receive submissions anymore for this month. So what you can do is follow the steps above to be able to continue receiving regular submissions up to 100 for this month.
