    Hi Tentram,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To restrict the user from going to the next page when the Countdown Widget ends you can set the fields as "Required" In this way it will restrict the user from going to the next page without filling out the fields. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, select the fields in your form and click the Gear icon to open the field settings.
    2. Under the General tab, Toggle On the Required section.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Tentram,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. This would be possible by creating a Conditional Logic on your form. It's easy to do. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In your Form Builder, go to Settings at the top.
    2. Click on Conditions on the left.
    3. Then choose and configure your desired conditional logic type.

Here are the conditional logic types you can do:

After that, you can save and test your interactive form. Please make sure that the condition is working properly before adding more conditions.

You can also set a Required Field on your form, you check out our guide here on how to do that.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

    Hello Joeni

Thankyou for your assistance, but it seems that making the countdown widget "Required" only makes the user to need to click the next button 2 times before going on to the next page. What we wanted to do is to restrict the user to stay in one page until the countdown widget ends, after the countdown widget reaches zero only then the user will be allowed to go to the next page, is that possible to do in Jotform?

    Hi Tentram,

To clarify, you want to restrict users to stay on a single page until a countdown widget reaches zero. Once the countdown ends, only then should users be allowed to navigate to the next page. I explored various workarounds and came up with a solution. By adding a Timer widget and a Form Calculation widget, you can set up a condition to show the Page Break once the timer reaches a certain time (in seconds). Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element.
    2. Under Widgets, search for Form Calculation & Timer and add it to your form. How to restrict user from going to the next page before Countdown ends? Image 1 Screenshot 70
    3. Click on the Timer widget, and then click on the Wand icon.
    4. Under Display Timer, select No.
    5. Click on Update Widget. How to restrict user from going to the next page before Countdown ends? Image 2 Screenshot 81
    6. Right-click on the Form Calculation widget and select Hide.
    7. Click on the Wand icon, and set the Calculation. You can copy the calculation below:
    8. Click on Save. How to restrict user from going to the next page before Countdown ends? Image 3 Screenshot 92

Now, let's set up the show condition.

    1. In Form Builder, click on Settings at the top.
    2. Click on Conditions on the left, and click on Add condition. How to restrict user from going to the next page before Countdown ends? Image 4 Screenshot 103
    3. Select Show/Hide Field.
    4. Now, set up the conditions. You can copy my conditions as shown below.
    5. Lastly, click on Save. How to restrict user from going to the next page before Countdown ends? Image 5 Screenshot 114

The value should be set in seconds. Repeat this process for the other pages as needed.

Once the countdown ends or reaches zero, the Next button will be conditionally displayed, allowing the user to navigate to the next page. Here's my demo form. You can clone it to test or inspect.

Give it a try, and let us know if you need more help.
