Generate a report after submissions

    Hi Jotform team,

We are currently using jotform for management PTO requests. Currently, our team puts in requests on the form, but do not have a way to see what their balance is before they submit the form. we are using an internal spreadsheet since we do not have an HRIS system to track their PTO.

Is there a way to generate a report after submissions on how much pto a person has to date based on an excel sheet that we use internally?

is there a way to let submitters know how many submissions they've made of the same form in a certain time frame?

or- for example, if we use a drop down entry select on the form for our team to select their own name when creating their submission, is there a way they can see a cell from a linked spreadsheet, or they can view it within the form?

I am not sure if this makes any sense.. but any guidance is appreciated or ideas on how other teams have utilized this for similar situations.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi AtomicProvisions,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support. With Jotform Report Builder, you can easily generate visual reports that are based on your submission data. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Forms page, select the form that you want to create a report for.
    2. Click on Reports at the top of the page, and then click on Add New Report.

    3. Now, select Visual Report Builder, which will open Report Builder.

    4. Enter a Report name.

    5. Choose a Report Type:

    • Blank – you can add and place charts manually.
    • Extended Report – a single chart is shown per page by default.
    • Compact Report – two charts are shown per page by default.

    6. Then, click on Create and that’s it. You’re done.

For the Extended and the Compact report types, Report Builder will automatically create a chart for each form field or widget on the form. We also have a guide about How to Create a Visual Report with Your Form Submissions that you can check out.

As for your other question, I've moved that to a new thread. You can check that out here.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
