Will the newly added field be placed next to an existing field or at the end of the sheet?

I currently have a multiple-choice (radio) question with three answers. One of the answers conditionally gives the user a further question (drop-down menu), and I want to now offer the same with another of the answers. What will this do to the existing sheet, does it create a new column, and if so does it insert it 'next' to the multiple-choice question, or to the end (far 'right') of the sheet?

I've tested it, and it appears that it will create a new column, and it will be placed at the end column of the sheet. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:
