RE: How to Assign Calculation Values

What if there was a product category for hats, t-shirts, and shoes each with three different calculation value options. How do you add the calculation values from each product category in that scenario? How do you add the values together? Is there a template demonstrates this

    Hi TJ,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that you want to assign calculation values from a product option using the dropdown, single-choice, and multiple-choice fields. The easiest way to add them is by using the Form Calculation Widget. Let me show you how to do it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element on the left side of the page. In my example, I selected the Multiple Choice element, so respondents can select more than 1 option from the products. Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 1 Screenshot 80
    2. To edit the options, click on the Gear icon of the Multiple Choice field and enter your product list from the Options tab. Indicate the amount of the products, so its easier to see how much each costs.Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 2 Screenshot 91
    3. Still from the Options section, toggle Calculation Values to enable it. Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 3 Screenshot 102
    4. In the Calculation Values box, enter the amount of each product.Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 4 Screenshot 113

Now, let's add the amount of each product:

    1. In the Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element on the left side of the page and select Form Calculation from the Widgets tab. Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 5 Screenshot 124
    2. Click on the Wand icon of the added widget, click on Add Field, and select the Multiple Choice field with your product list. The calculation value for each option will be added automatically. Make sure that the number "0-9" is in color black, meaning it is set as a number.
    3. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the page.Form Calculation Widget: How to add calculation values Image 6 Screenshot 135
