I have had clients have issues with not being able to complete my questionnaire's in one sitting or site issues that have prevented them from successfully completing their form, and losing all fields. Is there a way to save?

There are two options, you can enable the autofill feature, so the data is saved in the browser local storage: https://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-on-Forms
Or, you could implement the following workaround, which generates a session URL, that can be accessed from any browser, location and device: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later

andrewcoplonReplied on April 24, 2018 at 12:43 AMI have my forms enabled to continue later. However, this appears to not be
working on any of them. Can you please look into?
Does this still work when I embed the forms in SquareSpace?
My most used form is: https://form.jotform.com/72274473031148

I checked the settings of the form you provide and I saw that the AutoFill feature is enabled. After that, I tested your embedded form and the AutoFill feature is working properly. The data I entered was saved when I reloaded the webpage.
The AutoFill method is based on the browser local storage. It is saving the form data on the user's browser, so the user can open the form later and he/she will see the past data.
Note - The user will need to use the same browser to access to previously entered data. Also, please note that the entered data will be saved for 24 hours.
Have you tested your form? Is the AutoFill feature working on your end?
Maybe 24 hours passed and because of that the users do not see the data they previously entered or they are using some other browser or device.

andrewcoplonReplied on April 24, 2018 at 11:43 AMPerhaps I am not a good person to test this, as I am constantly checking
the forms and have a lot of data saved. I'll keep investigating.
Thanks,
Andrew

possible to create a "save for later" button?

Please check if the Autofill feature of the Safari browser is enabled. Here's what it should look like:
Let us know how it goes. Thank you.
-
andrewcoplonReplied on June 2, 2018 at 4:43 PMThere is definitely a big error here. I have users in multiple browsers report fields not saving. Moreover, if a user submits the form, but this is any field not filled out properly, they have to fill out the entire form again.
Cheers,
Andrew

I have been testing your form using three different browsers on my end, two are installed on my computer and I'm using Windows 10, I used a browser emulator for Safari, here are the screen-casts about each test.
- Chrome:
- Firefox:
- Safari:
There are some factors that may be affecting this, for example, if all the computers you have tested on are connected to the same network, then I would recommend you to check that there is not any setting on the server you're connected on that resets the browsers cache. If possible please try using a different device or try connecting to a different network.
Also, note that cookies must be enabled in the browser settings in order to get this feature working as expected, if cookies are disabled then the feature will not work.
I have been performing different tests on my end in order to make sure that your site is not clearing the cache, I have closed the browser completely, started it again type in your password and it worked without any problem.
Please let us know how it goes.

andrewcoplonReplied on June 3, 2018 at 3:43 PMAppreciate you looking into this. Would JotForm possibly look into a save
button? Many of my basic users are not familiar with cookies/autofill. I
believe this would make your product more user friendly.
Thanks,
Andrew

I'm not sure if this would work for you, but when using Cards form layout:
And enable Save and Continue later option, the Save button will appear like this:
Let us know if that could work for you.
Thank you!

andrewcoplonReplied on June 4, 2018 at 3:43 PMI would prefer the questions on one page. Is there any way the "save and
continue later" option can be added to that?

We already have the Save and Continue Later feature for classic form. Here's a guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/97-How-to-Save-Forms-and-Continue-Later
After checking the guide, you can use the demo form to test it. Here's the form link: https://form.jotform.com/60873864629975
If you need further assistance, please let us know. Thank you.

andrewcoplonReplied on June 4, 2018 at 4:43 PMThis is a highly confusing option for a non-tech person like myself. Any
simpler options?

Unfortunately, for the classic layout, that guide would be the only option. If you want something simpler, you can switch to the cards layout(single question per page):
The go to "BUILD" then back to the "FORM SETTINGS" page, in order to enable the option:

andrewcoplonReplied on June 4, 2018 at 5:43 PMI would like JotForm to consider adding the requested option. I imagine
there would be many other users that would appreciate this.

I will pass this request to our second level, although we cannot ensure this will be implemented or provide an ETA, we would keep you updated via this thread.
Thanks.

andrewcoplonReplied on July 8, 2018 at 9:43 AMI have been using the "single question on page" and "save and continue
later" options for my clients. However, the biggest downside to this is
that I ask all my clients to preview the form before completing their work.
It is hard for them to review the questionnaire prior with this format.
When all questions are in one page, they are easily able to review them;
however, they are unable to save. Can there please be a "save and continue"
later feature added for when questions are on one page?

I can see that your request for a Save and Continue Later button for Classic Form has already been forwarded to our level 2. Unfortunately, I won't be able to give you a timeframe as to when and if it will be implemented. Rest assured that once there is an update, you will be notified via this thread.
