Fillable PDF form Authorization Error: unable to submit if access settings is set to company access

    Previously I was able to download and use the PDF version of my forms, and the access setting was set for Company Access. Now I get the following error message for forms that worked previously:

    I noticed if I changed the access setting to Public Form then I no longer get an error. Is this a new requirement or a bug in the system?

    Hi btrembley,

    Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I tested on one of my sample forms and ran into the same issue.

    It looks like the user must have to sign in with their account in Adobe, I'll create a ticket and escalated this to our Developers and see if this is a new update and if the account must follow the organization email domain as well.

    Hi Bill,

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to submit forms that are set as company access using Fillable PDFs since it's currently not possible to authenticate the Jotform user through the PDFs.

    That's truly unfortunate. Even having an ability to pass a key to the form would provide some level of access control that would preclude having to mark the form as public. The offline use-case is something that is quite important to us as it makes up 90% of our usage.

    Surely this is something that product development can review.

    While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

    Hi Bill,

    After investigating the requirements, we concluded that right now we can't offer the feature in Jotform. In case if you want to use Smart PDF forms, you'll have to set the access level to Public.

    Thank you. Who can I talk to about getting a refund for the subscription and canceling? This function used to work, and we have architected business processes around it. Now that it does not work, we will need to seek alternatives.

    Hi Bill,

    Thanks for your patience. I apologize for all the inconvenience this has caused you. If you wish to cancel your current subscription and receive a refund, we can proceed with the cancellation. Since your subscription is still within 30 days, we can request a full refund for you.

     But, keep in mind that you are in the Legacy pricing which is why the pricing on your account is cheaper compared to the regular pricing in our Pricing Page. If you cancel now, you will not be able to return to your legacy pricing if you decide to upgrade in the future.

    Once you confirm the cancelation and refund, we'll be able to help you with this.
