I see in my subject line of emails and I cannot figure out why they are there.
Any ideas?

It's coming from a widget Form Calculation and the   appears literally 5 times.

I see that you have used the Form Calculation widget's UniqueName — {name} as part of your Email Notification Subject.
I understand that the Form Calculation's value is coming from the Company's drop-down field's calculation values.
I was able to reproduce the issue. I noticed that when the Name is filled, there are extra spaces at the end of the value which results in the issue you are encountering. Even the "empty" option of the Company drop-down are also spaces. (Please see screenshot below)
This is also visible in the email notification that I have received.
To fix the issue, please do not copy the calculation values of the options in the Company drop-down from a source file, instead type the calculation values manually.
I hope this helps. If you have other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again anytime

Just to add, you may try to copy the Calculation Values from a source file, but please make sure that you copy the text only up until the end of the line and not until before the first letter/character of the next line.
