No one is addressing the real question:
WHY is the shadow a default setting?
My guess is that less than half of your users are using stand-alone Jotforms. These default settings are really annoying to work with in DIY web builders and just about every other application.
-we don't want the shadow!
-we don't want the padding!
EVER!

I think they set to default because those shadow styles is appealing to the eyes and it makes even sense to the user interface.
If any users want to disable shadow boxes, fell free to ask to the 24/7 support team, the setting on how to disable the shadow is in the CSS Codes. They might reply as soon as possible with a positive effect.
