Hi,
That is part of the encryption feature. When you enable the encryption feature, the data will be encrypted and cannot be freely viewed without using the key. The default email alerts will not work, instead the system will send an email with encrypted data on it.
To learn more about the encryption feature, please check this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/344-Encrypted-Forms-and-How-to-Use-Them.
I hope that helps.

Hi,
Thanks, is it possible only to password protect the Attachment instead of encrypting the whole thing?
Cheers

Hi Bala,
If you are referring to the PDF submissions as attachment, then the answer is no, it is not possible to add password protect on them. This is because the PDF submission is actually already attached on the email, and we do not have a feature to password protect the file itself.

Hello Bala,
Thank you for contacting us.
When you used Encrypted form, it will make your form submissions encrypted before they are submitted to JotForm servers. You are the only one holding the private key. Nobody except you can access your data.
Here is a blog page about encrypted forms: https://www.jotform.com/blog/162-Introducing-Encrypted-Forms-The-Ultimate-in-Online-Form-Security
