My partner is very concerned about being upfront to our entrants that if they pay online they will be charged the paypal transaction fees which is 2.9% plus .30 per transaction. I read one article that showed how to add tax and then change the word tax to what ever we want be it convenience fee or something like that. That would work but how would I add the .30 per transaction? Can I do that? Can I have a subtotal and then the transaction fee figured out underneath it and then a total? Thanks in advance!! Mary

This is an extra charge that PayPal applies to the transaction, since it is not applied from JotForm then there is not a way to have control over this, if you add a tax to your form then it will be included and shown in the total, but this will be an additional tax to the one that PayPal charges.
What you can do is to display a message indicating the PayPal fees and stating this fees are applied because of the payment processor used, I have also found a helpful link about this: https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/What-are-the-fees-for-PayPal-accounts-FAQ690
You could also try Dwolla, it does not charge fees per transaction for United States-based business, please take a look on these links so you get more info:
