LOCAL BREEDER PROGRAM

Our mission is to promote the practice of feeding domestic dogs, cats and other carnivores a Species Appropriate Diet of uncooked meats, edible bones and organs. Strive to manufacture natural products that are hormone & antibiotic free, and humanly raised and handled from birth to slaughter. We advocate for optimal health and safe handling of raw materials, while taking pride in giving a voice to what our Creator intended for our domesticated carnivores!

We want to start by thanking you for your interest in our local livestock breeder program. We are excited to support local breeders and farms in our community and surrounding areas. We would also love to learn more about you and how you see a partnership between Hare Today and you forming. ANIMAL CARE AND WELFARE
The welfare of animals is of the utmost importance to us. We require that all animals be humanely raised and handled, in good health, and free of antibiotics and hormones. We encourage grass fed, and non-GMO feeding. To ensure that our standards are being met we require each of our breeders to sign a certification that they are meeting or exceeding our requirements.

Scheduling

Open communication is critial to ensure freezer space is available for your raw materials. Before calling livestock to slaughter, please reach out to us at info@hare-today.com.

It is the farmer's responsibility to schedule and transport livestock to butcher once livestock is called to slaughter.

If Hilltop Processing or Mahan's Packaging is used for butchering, Hare Today will pick up completed raw materials and cover butchering fees.

Payment to farmer is paid on hanging weight.
