  • Thank you for being here and for bringing your brilliance to Hoops and Hare. This collective is rooted in mutual respect, joyful disruption, and the belief that performance is transformative, playful, and powerful.

Please read the following information carefully and fill out the associated form.

(Portions of this policy have been adapted with gratitude from the Celestial Cabaret Code of Conduct.)

    At-Will Engagement & Contractor Status

All performers are considered independent contractors and not employees of Hoops and Hare, ElectroLounge, or any affiliated producers. Participation in our productions is at-will, meaning either the performer or the producers may end the working relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause or notice.

This policy ensures flexibility for both parties and protects the integrity of our creative environment. Nothing in this code of conduct, event agreement, or communication shall be interpreted to create an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture.

Clarification of Affiliation & Contractor Status

While Hoops and Hare regularly produces shows at Red Light Café, your participation is not considered a residency, and you are not employed by the venue in any capacity. Red Light Café is a host venue, not your employer.

Your agreement is directly with Hoops and Hare, which operates under Hare Branding Concepts, LLC. You are considered an independent contractor, not an employee of the venue or the production company. This distinction ensures that all creative and legal responsibilities are managed clearly and respectfully.

Please direct all show-related communication, contracts, and payment questions to Hoops and Hare, not the venue.

    Our Community Values

Hoops and Hare is a collective of artists committed to creating a harassment-free, consent-centered, and celebratory space for all. This code of conduct applies to everyone involved—performers, volunteers, staff, crew, and online participants.

We welcome and celebrate all bodies, all genders, all races, all sexualities, all abilities, all ways of being human. Discrimination, harassment, or disrespect have no place here.

We treat each other with kindness and professionalism—onstage, backstage, in the audience, and in our inboxes.

    Consent & Conduct: Our Non-Negotiables

We practice and expect clear, enthusiastic, and informed consent.

    We use Stoplight Language:

    • Red means stop immediately. No negotiation.
    • Yellow means pause and renegotiate.
    • Green means an enthusiastic yes given freely and without coercion.

We follow the FRIES model for consent:

    • Freely given
    • Reversible
    • Informed
    • Enthusiastic
    • Specific.

Whether you’re incorporating audience participation, working with another performer, or engaging in community space, consent is the baseline—not the bonus.

  • Image-11
  • We do not tolerate:

    • Negative social media posting whether vague or direct about other members of the group, productions, performers, venue, or other business partners.
    • Gossip, passive-aggressive behavior, or offstage conflict that disrupts the collaborative spirit of the show.
  • Venue Safety Policy: Powders, Liquids & Foods
Our venue partner, Red Light Café, requires strict adherence to the following policy:

Any act using powders, liquids, or foods must submit a full video for venue approval no later than 2 weeks before the show. No video = No act.

This includes glitter (yes, glitter counts as powder).

    If your act is approved:

    •  You must bring a towel or wrap to wear offstage along with foot coverings to minimize venue residue
    • You may not place any items near or on sound equipment
    • you must use a tarp and pool.
    • You are responsible for tear down and clean up

If a performer uses banned elements without approval, the producer may be held liable for cleanup, damages, and loss of future venue access.

Food and drink for personal consumption (not performance) are allowed if:

They’re held securely (e.g., mounted drink holders)

    Casting With Intention

Each show is curated based on theme and concept. We value our whole community, but not everyone will be cast every time.

    • Submitting this form does not guarantee casting.

    • You must fill out a new form for each production.

    • Members of the Flock Collective receive priority when appropriate.

    • Your submission is considered a soft hold on the show date.

If selected, you’ll be contacted 4 weeks prior to the show and have 48 hours to confirm. Casting is finalized after act review, approval, and your written confirmation.

  • Flock Commitments & Community Integrity

We are so proud of you and everything you’re creating in the world. As artists ourselves, we fully support your journey and want to be your biggest cheerleaders—onstage and beyond. Watching you shine makes our hearts soar.

That said, we’ve built this flock on trust, communication, and mutual respect. We care deeply about each of you—not just as performers, but as people—so when boundaries are crossed or we find things out at the tea party instead of directly from you, it honestly hurts our feelings. We’re a team, and we want to handle things with care and clarity.

Regular Flock cast members are defined as performers who have participated in three or more shows within the last six months. These members are considered active parts of our performance family.

To protect the integrity of our shows, recruiting regular cast members for gigs that conflict with scheduled Flock events is not allowed. This includes asking someone to drop out of a show they’re already cast in or on a soft hold for for another booking or production. Doing so may result in removal from the flock—not because we don’t love you, but because we have to protect the nest we’ve all helped build.

If you ever have scheduling questions or opportunities that might overlap, no big deal. We understand that things shift. Just reach out to Hoops & Hare directly. We’d much rather hear it from you than find out at the tea party. That kind of thing can sting—and we’d rather hug it out early than untangle a mess later.

Want to double-check what dates you’re currently signed up for? Just ask—we’re happy to remind you. We’ll be sharing upcoming show dates here, and we’d love for you to confirm your availability. If anything changes, we ask that you provide 30 days’ notice so we can adjust accordingly. These commitments are considered a soft hold unless otherwise stated.

Additionally, if you are partnered with another recurring Thursday or Sunday residency within 25 miles of Red Light Cafe in Atlanta, you will no longer receive priority booking with us . This helps us protect the consistency of our cast and our shows.

Let’s keep building something beautiful together—with honesty, care, and glitter.

    We love you. Really.

  • About our shows:

    About our shows:

Hoops and Hare proudly produces cabaret shows since 2022. Electrolounge is every third Thursday, Sunday School for Sinners 6x a year, and annually 420 Fire it up are productions partnered with Red Light Cafe. Alternative venues may be used but this code of conduct still applies
  • Image-26
  • Calling all sinners!

Every Sunday School for Sinners show is built around cheeky religious undertones—nuns, priests, devils, school-theys, and more—layered with a unique sub-theme each time to inspire your acts. We ask that performers incorporate these vibes into their looks or performances to keep the spirit of the sanctuary alive.

We celebrate both new and returning artists in every show, and we do our best to include a new performer in each cast based on availability. So if this is your first time reaching out—don’t worry, we promise we haven’t ruled you out.

    Pay & Participation:

Group Acts: $75 guarantee. If any group member also wishes to perform a solo act, that must be approved by production ahead of time, with separate tech forms submitted for each act.
    Solo Acts: $50 guarantee.
Tip Pool: Shared equally among all performers after production costs.
    All performers are expected to:

    Go-go between acts (as needed)
Assist with stage setup and cleanup
Stay through the end of the show
Payment will be sent via Venmo within 2 weeks of the show date.

Questions? Reach out to Mz. Hooplah or Ivana Coquetú.

  • ElectroLounge: Show Format & Pay Structure

ElectroLounge brings the heat and the glow every third Thursday.  Every performer will take the stage twice to electronica music and help light up the night with glow elements. That doesn’t mean everyone needs fire props or LED wings—but we do ask that you incorporate glow, LED, or blacklight-responsive elements into your act in a way that feels fun and authentic to you.

Need ideas? Dollar store LED accessories, blacklight makeup, twinkle lights in your boa, or glow-in-the-dark costume pieces totally count. Be creative. Be bright. Be weird.

    Pay & Participation:
All performers are paid 10% of ticket sales, split evenly among the cast.
Tips from the audience are split evenly as well.

    All performers are expected to:
    Go-go dance between acts
    Kitten as a team
Stay through the end of the show for wrap-up
Payment is sent to your Venmo within 2 weeks of the show date.

Questions? Contact Mz. Hooplah or Ivana Coquetú—we can’t wait to vibe with you.

  • Addendum: Image & Likeness Use Agreement
  • 2026 Image Use, Marketing & Creative Authority

By accepting a booking with this production, performers agree to the following policies regarding image use, marketing, and creative decision-making.

     1. IMAGE & LIKENESS USE

By accepting a booking, performers grant permission for their image, likeness, and performance documentation (photo and/or video) to be used for event-related promotional purposes, including but not limited to:

    • Posters and flyers

    • Social media promotion

    • Digital and print marketing

    • Event recap or archival content

Images will not be used in a defamatory, misleading, or unrelated commercial context.

    2. DIGITAL & AI-ASSISTED DESIGN TOOLS

Production may use standard digital design tools, including AI-assisted editing software, for promotional purposes. This may include:

    • Background replacement or enhancement

    • Lighting, color, or stylistic adjustments

    • Composite imagery or graphic design elements

These tools are used solely for event promotion and do not involve training AI models on a performer’s likeness.

Performers may request reasonable limitations on image processing. If such limitations interfere with standard marketing needs, production reserves the right to decline the request or decline the booking.

    3. CREATIVE AUTHORITY & BRANDING

Creative authority over the following elements rests with production:

    • Show titles and themes

    • Poster and flyer design

    • Branding and visual identity

    • Marketing language and promotional strategy

Performers are not guaranteed approval rights over these elements unless explicitly stated in a written contract.

    4. PERFORMER INPUT VS. PRODUCTION CONTROL

This production values collaboration, but it is not a consensus-based design process.

Performer input may be considered regarding:

    • Safety concerns

    • Consent or misrepresentation

    • Contractual obligations

Personal aesthetic preferences or creative disagreements do not require production changes.

    5. OPT-OUT REQUESTS & BOOKING ELIGIBILITY

Performers may request opt-outs or accommodations related to image use or marketing tools. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    If requested limitations:

    • Prevent standard promotion of the event, or

    • Require disproportionate labor or redesign

Production may choose not to proceed with the booking.

    6. RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION

Concerns regarding image use, marketing, or branding must be communicated directly and respectfully to production.

Public call-outs, third-party pressure, or post-release objections to approved promotional material are not acceptable and may impact future booking opportunities.

    7. SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

By participating in this production, performers acknowledge that:

    • They are part of a collective creative work

    • Promotional materials serve the event as a whole

    • Individual control over shared assets is limited
