Volunteering at OPTIMIZE is a fantastic experience. You'll get to know great people, contribute to creating a phenomenal event, and when you are not volunteering, you'll be able to enjoy conference sessions and networking events.

Please fill out the application below to be added to the volunteer email distribution list. After you complete the form Kenrick Norris will be reaching out with additional information on the scheduling, registration, and training.

Registration: Pulling name badges along with using a tablet and (or) Smartphone to check in attendees with Eventbrite app. Innovator and Investor check in at the Capital Connections Lounge and the Volunteer Lounge.Swag Bags: Help assemble swag bags and pass them out during the conference.Greeter & Directional Guide: Greeting guests and providing them with directions to certain events. Provide crowd and noise control during session.Speaker Assistant & Microphone Runner: I have AV experience and am able to help assist speakers with needs and help run microphones for Q&A post sessions.Event Coordination: I've have event planning experience and am glad to help with food or venue issues .Set-up or Tear Down: I prefer working behind the scenes, putting up signs, setting up tables, and keeping things organized and cleaned upPre Conference Volunteer Help: I live in the Louisville, KY area and available to help in the days and months leading up to the conferenceVolunteer Lounge/Bag Check/Lost & Found: Checking bags for attendees, keeping food, snacks, and supplies supplied and distributed to event stations, and managing lost and found stations.

As a Volunteer for OPTIMIZE 2024, I understand and agree to the following terms:

I will assist with preparatory, on-site, and/or wrap up tasks as assigned, and I'll be flexible because I understand that roles and assigned times may have to be changed based on where support is most needed.
I understand I will be required to support the Aging2.0 team by volunteering 4 to 5 hours and that I must also participate in a mandatory volunteer training call and an on-site orientation meeting.
I will focus on the jobs I'm assigned to and will wait until my shift is over to network or attend sessions.
I'll be polite, professional and courteous and will be a great representative of the Aging2.0 team. I will take care of attendee needs with a positive attitude and a smile, even when confronted by difficult people.
I'll happily wear the OPTIMIZE volunteer t-shirt.
If I am unable to fulfill my volunteer commitment, I agree I will pay the regular conference registration fee.
