  • Release of Liability

    I/we, hereby acknowledge that I/we are voluntarily participating in the Mermind Alliance Pickleball Tournament (The Tournament), organized by the Mermind Alliance (Released Parties/Organizer), on June 16th, 2024.

    In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Tournament, I/we, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby waive, release, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Mermind Alliance, its officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, sponsors, and all other persons or entities associated with the Tournament (collectively referred to as the "Released Parties"), from all liability to me, my personal representatives, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore, on account of injury to my person or property, or resulting in my death, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise, while I am participating in the Tournament, or any related activities.

    I/we understand and acknowledge that participation in the Tournament involves certain risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury resulting from falls, collisions with other participants, equipment failure, and the actions of others. I/we voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage, or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me as a result of participating in the Tournament, whether caused by the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.

    I/we understand that the Tournament may be photographed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded, and I hereby grant permission to the Organizer to use my likeness, voice, and image in any photographs, videos, or other recordings taken during the Tournament for promotional purposes.

    I/we hereby certify that I am over the age of 18 years and legally competent to sign this Release of Liability, or that my parent or legal guardian is signing on my behalf if I am under the age of 18 years.

    I/we have carefully read this Release of Liability and fully understand its contents. I am aware that by signing this Release of Liability, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue.
