DEC Lounge Event Space Request Form

Please fill out this form if you are interested in using the DEC (Harned Hall 202) or DEC Lounge Event Space (Harned Hall 207) for an event, program, or meeting.

Allow at least 24-48 hours for your request to be reviewed, the space is a first come first serve. After revewing avaliablity we will let you know if your request has been approved or denied.

The Diversity and Equity Center of Saint Martin's University is a multicultural unity space committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, & equitable learning environment for all students.

The DEC Lounge is a room full of colorful, multifunctional, and movable furniture. We invite you to move things around to fit your event, however, we do ask that all moved furniture be placed back to either its original format or to another accessible and useable format. Down below are a few more tips and expectations!

Our cast system is unfortunately no longer an option for connecting to the projector so you will need to bring another option such as HDMI cord.
The DEC Lounge is a shared community space, we ask you to please keep it clean and organized.
- If your club/event uses any decorations or any other materials are hung up, make sure all waste created during your event is disposed properly.
- If your club/event is hosting an activity involving something messy such as paint, we ask that you either take preventative measures such as tablecloths or table covers to clean up any mess created.
- If you are serving food or making food, make sure you are following the University guidelines and policies on food.
We urge you to supply your own utensils, napkins, and cups unless previously communicated with us as we reserve the use of these items for programming under the Diversity and Equity Center, as well as for the daily management of the Lounge.
