Before you start:
Clubs are now able to conduct their own updating workshops. These workshops can include and are not restricted too, club planning, risk management, sport specific training and mentoring.
Each workshop is worth 1 updating point per 1 hours
Maximum amount of updating points vary on the level of accrediation:
> BEG = 2
> INT = 3
> ADV = 6
> ADVS = 6
> HPF = 8
Clubs must apply for sanctioning 6 weeks prior to the activity using this form. All workshops require the region to provide GNSW with a sanctioning fee of $55 per workshop at the time of submitting this application.
Candidates must sign a course roll on the day of the workshop and this must be submitted to GNSW after the workshop to receive updating points. Updating points will only be allocated once the role has been submitted.
When it comes to promoting your workshop your club has two options:
- 'OPEN' Workshops - The club host updating activities that are 'open' to all members of the gymnastics community. These Updating activities are advertised on the GNSW education calendar. Clubs can then decide if they wish to charge participants not from their club a different amount.
- 'CLOSED' Workshops (The club hosts Updating activities that are for their members only.
