With your help, throughout the pandemic CLUE has offered strategic support for grocery, hotel, and retail workers seeking justice, among others. And CLUE members have helped improve conditions for tens of thousands of low-wage families in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

CLUE has traditionally worked with labor partners who can help fund the work of educating, organizing, and mobilizing the faith community. But now, many low-wage workers (like those at Starbucks, along with delivery drivers and others) are not connected to a union. 

By far, the best thing I can do to ensure CLUE joins hands with these folks is to build a stronger foundation for CLUE. One way to do that is to encourage people to remember CLUE in their will or trust.

Another way to fund this vital work is through significant gifts from special donors who might give a gift of $500 or more in the next few months to inspire others. I don’t know your personal financial situation, but is this something you may be able to help me with?

(By the way, if you’re age 70 ½ or older, you could even potentially lower your taxable income by making a tax-free donation from your IRA and have it count toward your required minimum distribution.)

Training the next generation of justice leaders in Southern California is an important part of CLUE’s ongoing work. Since founding its Rising Religious Leaders program, hundreds of young people have become engaged leaders, organizers and activists working for positive change in their communities. 

One obstacle stopping us from increasing the number of trainings for rising religious leaders is funding.

CLUE’s network is strengthened by amazing people like you. 

As we move through our third decade accompanying workers in their ongoing struggles, we are inviting members of our extended family of supporters to help “keep solidarity stories alive” by sharing their stories of faith in action, in service of building a more sacred and just society.

We'd love to preserve these in a Library of Justice and be able to share them to inspire continued action.
