Scholarship Nomination Application. The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the legacy of our ancestors by consistently paying it forward to our next generation. Each winner will receive $2500.
Minimum Age Requirement 17
Nominees must be a senior or recent grad of an Upstate High School and/or in 1st year of a University. The nominee must have 3.5 or higher GPA to compete and submit 500 words essay titled "What Juneteenth means to me?"

If your application is approved, you become a finalist. You will receive an exclusive invite to attend our Juneteenth GVL Gala for recognition on Friday, June 14th, at 7 pm. This invite will provide more pertinent details about the accommodations of this event for you and your guests. Dinner and entertainment will be provided. This is a semi-formal red-carpet event. Mr. & Miss. Juneteenth winners will receive a scholarship & plaque. Nominees will receive a plaque for recognition. You must be present to win. Winners will be presented at the Juneteenth GVL Gala; your attendance is required.
